These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Caltra AI, including the mobile app, website, accounts, community and team features, AI tools, scanning tools, product databases, subscriptions, and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Caltra AI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Caltra AI.
1. About Caltra AI
Caltra AI is a nutrition, fitness, hydration, supplement, barcode scanning, progress tracking, and AI-powered guidance app. The app may help you log meals, estimate calories and macros, track water and supplements, scan product labels, use AI tools, contribute product information, interact with realtime community features, and join teams with coaches, staff, or athletes.
Caltra AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Information in the app is for general informational and wellness purposes only.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Caltra AI. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use Caltra AI only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You may sign in with Apple or use supported email authentication. Account and authentication services may be provided through Supabase and the private Caltra AI backend. If you sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with an identifier and, depending on your choice, an email address or private relay email.
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate, protecting your password, sign-in codes, sessions, and devices, and for activity that occurs under your account. You must not share authentication tokens, impersonate another person, or attempt to access another account. Contact support promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Health, Nutrition, Supplement, and Fitness Disclaimer
Caltra AI may provide calorie estimates, macro estimates, nutrition suggestions, supplement information, hydration insights, progress summaries, and AI-generated guidance. These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your individual circumstances.
Do not rely on Caltra AI as a substitute for professional medical, nutrition, fitness, mental health, allergy, or supplement safety advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, supplement routine, exercise plan, or health-related behaviour, especially if you have a medical condition, allergies, are pregnant, are taking medication, or are managing an eating disorder or other health concern.
If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Community members, team coaches, staff, athletes, and other users are not acting as healthcare professionals through Caltra AI unless they separately hold appropriate qualifications. Team summaries, community posts, and messages must not be treated as medical advice.
A connected trainer may prescribe workouts and recommend calorie or macro targets. Macro recommendations require the client’s approval in supported Caltra services before they become an accepted plan. Trainers are responsible for working within their qualifications, obtaining informed consent, considering relevant health risks, and avoiding unsafe or inappropriate recommendations. Clients remain responsible for deciding whether a recommendation is suitable and should seek qualified medical or dietetic advice when needed.
4. AI and Scan Accuracy
AI food scans, barcode data, ingredient scans, supplement scans, water scans, recipes, and nutrition database results may contain errors. Results may use Google Gemini or another configured AI provider together with Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, TheMealDB, product labels, and user or moderator submissions. Product formulations, serving sizes, recipes, and nutrition data can change. You are responsible for checking important information, including allergens, ingredients, supplement warnings, serving sizes, and nutrition values before relying on app results.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Caltra AI may offer an auto-renewable subscription called Caltra AI Premium or similar premium access. The subscription unlocks paid features shown in the app, such as premium AI scanning, AI tools, progress analysis, and premium community access.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings.
- Prices and subscription periods are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country, currency, taxes, and App Store settings.
- Caltra AI cannot directly cancel, refund, or manage App Store purchases for you. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
Free features may remain available without a subscription. Premium features may change over time as the app develops.
Caltra Trainer may be offered as a separate web subscription processed by Stripe. The current price, billing period, included client capacity, and any additional paid capacity are shown before checkout. Trainer plans renew automatically until cancelled through the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals and access generally continues until the end of the paid billing period. Except where required by Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law, payments already made are not automatically refundable; contact support if you believe a charge was made in error or the service was not provided as described.
6. Apple Standard EULA
Your license to use the iOS app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless Caltra AI provides a valid custom EULA in App Store Connect. You can read Apple's Standard EULA at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
7. Community, Team, and User-Generated Content Rules
Caltra AI may allow users to create profiles; join public or private communities and teams; post content, images, live-chat messages, comments, replies, and reactions; follow or block users; receive notifications; share daily macro summaries; and send or accept invitations. You are responsible for content and information you submit or choose to share.
Caltra AI has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, upload, share, or encourage content that is:
- Harassing, bullying, threatening, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, or targeted at protected groups
- Sexually explicit, exploitative, graphic, violent, or otherwise objectionable
- Promoting self-harm, eating disorder behaviour, unsafe supplement use, dangerous dieting, or harmful conduct
- False, misleading, fraudulent, spam, scam, or impersonation content
- Illegal, infringing, or violating another person's privacy, image, intellectual property, or other rights
- Sharing private personal, health, contact, financial, or identity information without permission
Users can report objectionable content from the post menu and can block users. Caltra AI may filter, hide, remove, review, or restrict content and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users.
Community owners, moderators, coaches, and staff may manage membership and content within areas they control, but they must use those powers fairly and only for legitimate community or team purposes. Joining a team may make your selected profile information and daily calorie or macro summaries visible to authorised team members. Do not join or share information with a team unless you are comfortable with that access.
Accepting a private trainer invitation creates a coaching connection. While it remains active, the trainer may view training information you choose to share, prescribe workouts, and send macro target recommendations. You may decline a recommendation and may end the coaching connection. Historical assignment and response records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy for safety, security, dispute handling, and service operation.
You must keep private invite codes confidential and must not use communities, teams, leaderboards, or macro competitions to harass users, promote unsafe restriction or supplement use, manipulate results, or encourage harmful health behaviour.
8. Your Content and Product Contributions
You keep ownership of content you create and submit to Caltra AI. By submitting content, you grant Caltra AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, process, moderate, and use that content only as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide the app and related services.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights.
If you submit barcode corrections, product facts, product photographs, label images, or other product-database contributions, you also grant Caltra AI permission to verify, crop, format, correct, combine, moderate, and include the contribution in a shared product database. Approved factual product records may remain available after account deletion when they have been separated from your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy
Your use of Caltra AI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at privacy.html. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information, including Supabase account and community data, private backend nutrition data, scan and product data, health-related information, team data, AI context, and subscription information.
10. Third-Party Services
Caltra AI may use or link to third-party services, including Apple services and StoreKit, Supabase Auth, Postgres, Storage and Realtime, DigitalOcean hosting, Google Gemini or other configured AI providers, Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, TheMealDB, and analytics or diagnostic tools. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Caltra AI does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, data accuracy, availability, security, or services.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Caltra AI. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape, overload, bypass authentication, Row Level Security, storage rules, moderation controls, or feature limits; abuse subscriptions or invitation codes; exploit bugs; upload malicious content; automate unauthorised database access; access another user's account; interfere with AI or scanning services; or use the app for unlawful or harmful purposes.
12. Account Deletion and Termination
You may request account or data deletion through the app or by contacting support. The deletion process is intended to remove the Supabase account and related profile/community records, private backend app data, compatibility authentication data, and local account files. App Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple Account, and Caltra Trainer web plans must be cancelled through the Stripe billing portal.
Some information may remain where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, moderation, backup, or legitimate operational reasons. Public or moderated product records and content may remain when separated from your identity or when retention is otherwise explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Caltra AI if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, misused the app, or if continued access could harm Caltra AI, users, or third parties.
13. Intellectual Property
Caltra AI, including its design, branding, software, text, graphics, features, and technology, is owned by Caltra AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of Caltra AI or any related intellectual property.
14. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Caltra AI at any time. We may also update these Terms. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page, showing an in-app notice, or using another appropriate method. Your continued use of Caltra AI after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Disclaimers
Caltra AI is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not guarantee that calorie estimates, nutrition data, AI responses, supplement information, community content, barcode data, progress insights, or other app outputs will be accurate, complete, safe, or suitable for your needs.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caltra AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, health outcomes, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the app.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless mandatory laws in your location require otherwise. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
